Obligatory Monthly Post Including Picture of a Cat: It has begun. My life is officially over for a while. You can find me practicing checking vitals on my cats like a crazy person in Nashville (diagnosis: contentedness indicated by purring).

If all goes according to plan, four years from now I will be an NP and have a script pad with my name and fancy titles on it ready to prescribe drugs and and keep y’all healthy. Then I can look back on this post fondly and remember what it felt like to know nothing and practice vitals on animals like an idiot.

New data released from Apple finds that cats who own iPads download a substantial number of bird watching apps. On average, cats pay for three bird watching apps every six months.

This type of content is unique however, as the data counters a wider trend of kittens downloading fewer apps overall.

Aw, your kids are so sweet! Students write the best cards when you leave. Keeping them in your desk and reading them later down the road will help you when you’re having a rough day. Now, things were a bit different for me at the Alternative School. For instance, this was my motivation:

I can’t take this seriously coming from a blog co-run by a spokeswoman for a major cosmetics company. Maybe when Zooey and all other actresses stand up for women and stop allowing themselves to be airbrushed in make-up ads and airbrushed in magazines girls will stop feeling like they have to be their hair and their weight and their age blah blah blah.
